Frequently asked questions

What is the Document Assistant?

A free web tool by ISA Vietnam, guided by the assistant character Mary. Upload a Word file; the tool checks format, spelling and style and exports a standardized file.

Which documents does it standardize?

Vietnamese administrative documents under Decree 30/2020/NĐ-CP (29 types), master’s theses, doctoral dissertations, and journal papers following the author guidelines of 19 Vietnamese journals across many fields.

Is my document stored?

No. The file is processed temporarily for analysis and export and is not stored. Organization and signatory details stay in your browser.

Are figures, tables, equations and the table of contents kept?

Yes. For theses and papers the tool edits the Word file in place, so figures, tables, merged cells, equations and the table of contents are preserved; covers and appendices keep their layout.

Does it work with old .doc files?

Yes for administrative documents. For theses and papers, save as .docx to keep all formatting.
